We are proud to announce that Essex Printing received four Pinnacle Awards in the Print Industry of New England’s (PINE) Awards of Excellence Competition. The Pinnacle Award is reserved for printed pieces that are recognized as the best in their category. The best-in-class pieces included Lindy Lyman’s calendar, the Old Lyme Fire Department’s 100th Anniversary book, Trapski’s product and dealer catalogs, and Con Brio Choral Society’s holiday concert program.

A panel of judges with extensive experience in printing and print production were brought in to examine the wide range of work submitted. Each entry was judged anonymously on its own merit in a category with similar printed pieces. The judging criteria included: registration, clarity and neatness, sharpness of halftones and line drawings, richness and tonal qualities of color, paper and ink selection, ink coverage, difficulty of printing, effective contrast or softness, overall visual impact and bindery.
We publish Events Magazines for 13 CT towns and they have become a must-read for residents and visitors alike!
